Introducing...The Paracar 1204 model
year 2003/04. The car of the future is here weighing
in at only 1204 lbs. empty. Made of carbon composite
materials, the Paracar 1204 seats 4 adults and has
the payload capacity of 350 Lbs. for fuel and cargo.
Power windows and air conditioning are all standard.
To lift the Paracar 1204, a new air induction engine,
similar to the harrier jump jet engine, is used to
lift the car vertically. This main engine only needs
to run in short bursts of 20 to 30 seconds, for take
offs and landings. To maintain lift for horizontal
flight, the 1204 runs on 4 rotary type Jet Ski engines,
which only weigh 72 lbs. each. Each engine has the
maximum dynamic thrust of 750 lbs.
On
take off, the Paracar's vertical thrust vectors lift
the car to 30' feet into the air. Then the Jet Ski
rotary engines give the Paracar forward momentum.
At 10 mph, the parawing can be deployed or retracted
in 3.3 seconds. Once the parawing is inflated, the
vertical thrusters, located in the rear and on both
sides, can be tilted all the way aft and the rotary
engines can be trimmed, by 80% of the lifting force.
Top
cruising speed is 45 MPH. Running time is 4 hours
with the maximum range of 150 miles. The Paracar 1204
can fly to 25,000 feet and can safely land on one
engine. With the GPS computerized destination itinerary,
all trees, building, power lines and other obstacles
will be programmed in as encumbrances which you couldn't
run into even if you tried. Parking problems and traffic
jams will become a thing of the past. You can simply
skip over cars on the interstate at designated Skyramp
exit points and go straight to the parking lot of
your destination. With your Paracar 1204, you can
land it on your 33rd story balcony of your condo.
